DIY Vera Bradley and Lilly Pulitzer Disney shirts!

If you Etsy search "Disney shirts" there are about 4200 that come up. Most are at $15+ a piece and if you get into any of the designer fabrics, $25+ a piece,  and I'm far too cheap for that.  I figured I could easily make my own.

I knew I wanted Lilly fabric Minnie heads for myself, my sisters and the Princess so I had to find the fabric first! Both poshmark and Etsy had people selling 5x5" squares which will do a whole mickey head. I purchased both Vera Bradley licensed fabric and Lilly Pulitzer fabrics, but you could use any type!

I found a Mickey head shape and created a template out of cardboard.

Then I followed the directions on a package of Heat N Bond to attach the fabric to the Heat N Bond.  With the fabric side down, I traced the Mickey template onto the Heat N Bond side and cut along the lines.  Continue to follow the directions, I had to remove the paper and flip so the fabric was on the top again and ironed the fabric to my shirts.

The fabric was only a few dollars off etsy, the Heat N Bond was only $2 and the tank tops and shirts were less than $4 from Walmart!
Way more affordable than ordering a completed shirt off Etsy or Ebay!

You can check out all the shirts I made in my instagram feed!
